Meet CEO + Founder, Monique Salas
Monique is a multi-faceted leader whose passion is in building and growing consumer-centric brands that shape and change the world. She spent the first 7 years of her career with McDonald's USA, leading marketing teams and agencies across the country and delivering growth in various top markets such as New York, Ohio, The Carolinas, and The South.
As a consumer-obsessed marketer, Monique then pivoted to the beauty industry and spent the next leg of her career with L’Oréal USA, focusing on Carol’s Daughter and Redken.
Monique was responsible for creating the strategic vision, innovation pipeline, and brand marketing and delivering YOY growth for both Carol’s Daughter and Redken Haircare under L’Oreal USA.
With over 13 years of corporate marketing experience for Fortune 100 + 300 companies across leading industries, she’s now taking that experience in a more entrepreneurial setting, focusing on early to mid-stage businesses and positioning them for future growth.
Most recently, she served as the Global Vice President of Marketing and Innovation for House of Cheatham with Aunt Jackie’s Curls and Coils, Africa’s Best, and Originals by Africa’s Best under her direct purview.
Additionally, in 2022, she founded Salas Strategy Group, a consulting firm dedicated to building brand growth strategies and implementation plans across various industries.
Her passion lies in developing and growing brands that are dedicated to the multicultural consumer base, specifically black and brown consumers. She also enjoys partnering with founders to imagine and scale their companies and brands for future consumers, making household names across industries.
